Job summary

Neos Networks is seeking a Transmission Team Leader in Reading to guide a team of designers and Tier 3 engineers in delivering critical network infrastructure. The role combines hands-on design oversight with people leadership to shape strategy, manage risk and drive improvements across projects.

You will ensure high-quality designs are delivered on time and within budget, and you'll build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors while championing best practices and

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading transmission network design teams.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with RFIs/ITTs and infrastructure investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of network designers and Tier 3 engineers.
• Conduct performance reviews and support development plans.
• Manage resource planning and forecasting to meet demand.
• Oversee network risk management and coordinate with Operations to mitigate risks.
• Provide technical input for business cases and design decisions.
• Support innovation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget and to standards.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
• Promote best practices and operational excellence across design.
