Job summary

Social Care & Education are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to assist young people aged 16–18 transitioning from children’s services into semi-independent living, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills in a safe supportive environment.

The role focuses on daily living support, promoting independence, aiding education and appointments, and maintaining accurate records while upholding safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting young people (16-18) during transition from children’s services to semi-independent living is preferred.
• Ability to promote independence, confidence, and essential life skills in a safe setting.
• Good communication and ability to work with external professionals and teams.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily living tasks and routines.
• Promote independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Support education, appointments, and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate daily records and incident reports.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
