Job summary

South Hampshire College Group is seeking a Transition and Pastoral Support Coach for Eastleigh (and Fareham). This term-time only role (38 weeks) focuses on guiding vulnerable learners through enrolment, induction and early college life, delivering targeted transition, pastoral and SEMH support to help learners thrive.

You will work with curriculum teams, support services and external agencies to promote wellbeing, engagement and achievement, maintaining accurate records and safeguarding best

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable learners.
• Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing and learner engagement.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group transition support.
• Support enrolment and induction processes.
• Build trusted relationships with vulnerable learners.
• Provide wellbeing and SEMH support including resilience and mental health.
• Collaborate with attendance and curriculum teams to boost engagement.
• Deliver coaching to develop independence and positive behaviours.
• Record keeping and monitoring impact of interventions.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing.
