Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking a Transition Officer (SEND) to support learners with EHCPs and additional needs as they transition into college. You will liaise with students, families, schools, SENCOs and Local Authorities to coordinate transitions and admissions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in educational or support settings, knowledge of SEND, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in education or support setting.
• Knowledge of SEND and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A relevant SEND/education qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transition and admissions for learners with EHCPs.
• Support EHCP consultations and ensure appropriate support is in place.
• Work with students, families, schools, SENCOs and Local Authorities.
• Complete pre-entry assessments for learners.

Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEND to achieve their full potential?

We're looking for an experienced Transition Officer to support learners with EHCPs, SEND and additional learning needs as they transition into college.

You’ll work closely with students, families, schools, SENCOs and Local Authorities, coordinating transition and admissions, supporting EHCP consultations, completing pre-entry assessments and ensuring learners have the right support in place.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience supporting young people in an educational or support setting

• Knowledge of SEND and the SEND Code of Practice

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A relevant SEND, education, wellbeing or related qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

Location: Redhill & Croydon
Salary: 31,094 pro rata to 28,642.36 (40 weeks)
Hours: 37 hours, Monday-Friday
