Job summary

Sheffield City Council is recruiting a Project Officer within the Commissioning and Partnerships Team. The role coordinates and monitors projects tied to service redesign, tracking milestones, governance and risks, and reporting to managers.

It supports a major transformation programme across services with partner engagement and safeguarding checks in place. The post involves flexible working discussions and opportunities to collaborate with internal and external partners to improve homelessness

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting projects, programmes or service improvement activity.
• Experience of partnership working or securing commitment to shared objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of service transformation and improvement programmes.
• Coordinate project plans, milestones, actions and governance arrangements.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and support resolution of barriers to delivery.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data for performance monitoring and decision-making.
• Prepare reports, presentations and briefings for managers.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops and engagement activity.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
• Support development and implementation of policies, procedures and service improvements.
