Job summary

Dunelm is seeking a Senior Finance Manager – Transformation to provide financial leadership across the transformation portfolio. You will act as Finance Business Partner to the Transformation Programme Office, ensuring robust business cases and delivery tracked against outcomes.

You’ll be the financial gatekeeper and lead end-to-end stage-gating, driving consistency in investment appraisal and decision-making across the programme. Hybrid work with office presence.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior-level finance experience.
• Experience in commercial finance, FP&A and finance business partnering.
• Experience developing and challenging business cases with benefit, risk and sensitivity analysis.
• Ability to build integrated financial models and translate complex information into insights for decision-makers.
• Experience with portfolio governance, stage gates, performance reporting and post-investment reviews is highly desirable.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills; understand change programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance governance within the Transformation Programme Office and ensure compliance with processes.
• Act as the financial gatekeeper for transformation initiatives and define required evidence before proposals progress.
• Own end-to-end financial stage-gating aligned to investment approval frameworks.
• Define and enforce consistent business case methodology, including appraisal, assumptions and benefits.
• Challenge financial inputs and valuation logic, ensuring proposals are robust and decision-ready.
• Monitor costs and benefits, report milestones, risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Build a live model showing actual and forecast performance at portfolio level.
• Establish a performance framework for in-flight initiatives and flag deviations early.
• Lead post-investment reviews and capture learnings to improve governance.
