Job summary

A leading engineering company in Belfast is looking for a Trainee Lift Engineer to join their Installation team. You will train alongside experienced Lift Engineers over a period of 24-36 months to become a qualified Lift Engineer. Candidates must have 5 GCSEs including Maths and Science, with additional engineering qualifications preferred. The role offers internal and external training opportunities and is committed to personal and career development.

Qualifications

• Hold 5 GCSE's grades A–C including Maths, English, and Science.
• Ideally possess relevant Engineering qualifications.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and a willingness to learn.

Job Description

We are looking for a Trainee Lift Engineers to join our Installation team in Belfast. You will up to 24 months as a Lift Engineer Mate/trainee working with experienced Lift Engineers to learn and understand the company and requirements to become a qualified Lift Engineer.

The trainee scheme is likely to take up to 3 years to complete to become a fully qualified NVQ level 3 Engineer in installation. To be successfully shortlisted for the apprentice scheme you will have;

• Hold 5 GCSE’s grades A–C including Maths, English and Science
• Ideally possess one of the following: Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations; or BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering
• Able to follow instructions and ensuring safety guidelines are followed at all time
• Demonstrate a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
• You will spend 24-36 months as a Lift Engineer Mate/ Trainee working with experienced Lift Engineers to learn and understand the company and requirements to become a qualified Lift Engineer.
