Job summary

Pickerings Lifts in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lift Engineer trainee to support maintenance and repair of lift equipment. Through structured training and hands-on learning, you will develop practical skills under experienced engineers while contributing to safe, reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3 and other relevant industry qualifications.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
• Previous mechanical or electrical experience desirable.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly to support teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Engineers with lift servicing, maintenance and repair tasks.
• Develop practical skills through hands-on learning and structured training.
• Support completion of maintenance schedules in line with service contracts.
• Participate in on-call rota once trained and authorised.
• Follow Health & Safety best practices to ensure safe operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and interact professionally with customers.
