Job summary

LÖDIGE Industries is seeking a technically skilled lift specialist to lead surveys, installations and modernisations across passenger and goods lifts. You will test and sign off installations, provide training to engineers, and champion health & safety on every project.

The role requires clear communication with clients and staff, and a willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland to deliver successful lift modernisation projects.

Qualifications

• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent electrical knowledge and ability to read drawings.
• Ability to mentor engineers and trainees.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complete technical surveys on hydraulic, traction elevators, goods lifts and lorry lifts.
• Oversee installation, modernisation and repair projects with focus on quality and profitability.
• Test, commission and sign-off lift installations per current regulations.
• Provide technical and training support to engineers and trainees.
• Promote health & safety and drive continuous improvement and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out complete technical surveys on hydraulic, traction elevators, goods lifts, and lorry lifts
• Oversee installation, modernisation, and repair projects, ensuring quality and profitability
• Test, commission, and sign-off lift installations in line with current regulations
• Provide technical and training support to engineers and trainees
• Lead by example in health & safety, driving continuous improvement and compliance
• Communicate effectively with both staff and clients, ensuring smooth project delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience with passenger and goods lifts
• Strong technical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• NVQ Level 4 Lift Testing certification (modernisation & new equipment)
• Excellent electrical knowledge and ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
• Confident in managing and mentoring engineers and trainees
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland
• Strong commitment to health & safety best practices
