Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd in Coventry is seeking a Finance Analyst to provide analytical support across transactional finance, delivering insightful management information and KPI dashboards. The role requires 37.5 hours per week with a hybrid pattern: three days in the office and two days working from home.

You will work closely with the Transactional Finance Manager to identify process improvements, automation opportunities and data-led efficiencies across AR, AP and Billing.

Commensurate with the position of your role within the organisation, you will be required to adopt a flexible approach to the hours worked and which may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties. The basic contractual hours will be 37.5 hours per week, with an unpaid lunch break of half an hour.

This role is a hybrid role with expectations of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Job Purpose Summary

To provide analytical, reporting and project support across the Transactional Finance function.
The role is responsible for delivering insightful management information, monitoring operational performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to finance transformation projects.
Working closely with the Transactional Finance Manager, this role will identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, and drive efficiencies through data-led decision making and automation.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILTIES

• Support the Transactional Finance Manager in monitoring departmental performance, identifying risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead and support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls, data quality and customer experience.
• Participate in finance transformation projects, system implementations and automation initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
• Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues and recommend solutions to improve performance and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, develop reporting solutions and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and consistency of transactional finance data and reporting.
• Assist with testing, process documentation and the implementation of new systems, controls and ways of working.

Person Specification

Essential

• Previous experience in a finance analyst, business analyst or transactional finance role.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Billing processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas and data analysis techniques.
• Experience producing management information, KPI reporting and performance dashboards.
• Proven ability to analyse large datasets and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience supporting process improvement, automation or finance transformation projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience using ERP and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

• Part-qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience of working within a shared service or high-volume transactional finance environment.
