Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Transactional Finance Analyst in Manchester to support day-to-day transaction management within the finance team. You will produce monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and key KPI dashboards to enable informed decision-making.

You'll work closely with the PTP Transactions & Reporting Manager to drive process improvements, support audits and help maintain accurate cash flow and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Background in accounting or finance, particularly within accounts payable/receivable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with financial systems and software.
• Proactive problem-solver with good communication across departments.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations for Accounts Payable information.
• Create KPI reports and stakeholder dashboards with insightful commentary.
• Collaborate with PTP Transactions & Reporting Manager to identify trends and improve performance.
• Prepare timely cash flow reports to support Treasury and planning.
• Support audits and financial reviews; contribute to process improvements.

As a Transactional Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial processes within the company. You will handle day-to-day transaction management, supporting the accounting and finance team with accuracy and efficiency.

Description

• Produce accurate monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring Accounts Payable-related financial information is complete and reliable.
• Create KPI reports and stakeholder dashboards, providing clear insights and meaningful commentary to support decision-making.
• Work closely with the PTP Transactions & Reporting Manager to identify trends, improve performance and reduce aged items and debit balances.
• Prepare timely cash flow reports to support Treasury and wider business planning.
• Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance reporting, controls and operational efficiency.

Profile

A successful Transactions Support Analyst should have:

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• 12 month Fixed-term contract
