Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Transactional Finance Analyst in Manchester to support day-to-day transaction management and assist the accounting and finance team with accurate reporting.

You will produce monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and KPI dashboards while working closely with the PTP Transactions & Reporting Manager to improve performance and reduce aged items.

Qualifications

• Background in accounting or finance, especially AP/AR.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with financial systems and software.
• Proactive problem-solving and cross-department communication.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations for AP data.
• Create KPI reports and dashboards with insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate with the PTP Transactions & Reporting Manager to identify trends and reduce aged items.
• Prepare timely cash flow reports to support Treasury and planning.
• Assist during audits and financial reviews.
• Contribute to improvements of financial processes and systems.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting, controls and efficiency.

As a Transactional Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial processes within the company. You will handle day-to-day transaction management, supporting the accounting and finance team with accuracy and efficiency.

Description

• Produce accurate monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring Accounts Payable-related financial information is complete and reliable.
• Create KPI reports and stakeholder dashboards, providing clear insights and meaningful commentary to support decision-making.
• Work closely with the PTP Transactions & Reporting Manager to identify trends, improve performance and reduce aged items and debit balances.
• Prepare timely cash flow reports to support Treasury and wider business planning.
• Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance reporting, controls and operational efficiency.

Profile

A successful Transactions Support Analyst should have:

• A background in accounting or finance, particularly within accounts payables and receivables.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working with financial systems and software.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with colleagues across departments.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• 12 month Fixed-term contract
