Based in Glenmore Lodge, Aviemore

sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Our goal is to be inclusive by design.

sportscotland Glenmore Lodge is Scotland's National Outdoor Training Centre, where our aim is to offer world class training in outdoor adventure sports and encourage more people to enjoy the outdoors more often.

We are looking for a Training Programme Coordinator to help develop and grow our schools residential and youth programmes. You will work with colleagues, schools and partners to design inclusive, high-quality programmes that support learning, wellbeing and personal development. As a result, you should have experience of developing or coordinating outdoor learning, sport, youth or community-based programmes and be confident working with a range of stakeholders.

As the Training Programme Coordinator, you will review programmes and partnerships, gather feedback and impact information, and use evidence to help improve delivery and identify new opportunities. We are therefore looking for someone with strong planning, communication and organisational skills, together with the ability to analyse information and make practical recommendations that support continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will also work closely with instructors, schools, governing bodies and community organisations to help extend Glenmore Lodge's reach and impact. This role will suit someone with a good understanding of the outdoor learning sector in Scotland, experience of collaborative working, and relevant outdoor qualifications that support informed programme design and delivery.

* Please note successful candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the salary band.

Employee benefits

We offer a strong benefits package including hybrid working, 32 days annual leave plus 6.5 public holidays (38.5 days total) on entry, Cycle2Work, employee discounts, an Employee Assistance Programme, Local Government Pension Scheme and support for professional development.
