Job summary

Ryanair is seeking a highly motivated Training Officer to join our Ground Handling Training Team. You will deliver engaging classroom and practical training across ramp and BOH functions, and lead initial and refresher courses to develop staff.

You will maintain training records, support audits, and collaborate with Safety, Compliance, Operations, and Management to promote a strong safety culture. Mentoring and coaching will help teams achieve high performance in a fast-paced aviation

Qualifications

• AET or equivalent training qualification required.
• Experience delivering aviation training including headset and pushback.
• Strong knowledge of airport ground handling, safety procedures, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical training across ramp and BOH functions.
• Conduct initial training, refresher courses, and competency assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging classroom and practical training across ramp and BOH functionsConduct initial training, refresher courses, and competency assessmentsIdentify training needs through operational feedback, audits, and performance dataMaintain accurate training records and compliance documentationProduce training reports and support audit and compliance activitiesWork closely with Safety & Compliance, Operations, and Management teamsSupport the development of a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindsetMentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve high performance standards

Requirements

You are a confident and engaging trainer with a passion for developing people and maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Essential Requirements

• AET (Award in Education and Training) or equivalent training qualification
• Previous experience delivering training within an aviation environment including Headset and pushback
• Strong understanding of airport ground handling, safety procedures, and compliance standards
• Experience delivering both theoretical and practical training sessions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence, coach, and develop operational teams
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• IT literacy (MS Office and training record systems)

Desirable

• Train-the-Trainer ADPM
• Experience with Dangerous Goods training
• Knowledge of CAA/EASA regulations or IATA standards hold a CIN
• Experience supporting audits or compliance programmes
• Design and develop lesson plans, training materials, and assessments in line with regulatory requirements (e.g. CAA/EASA/ICAO where applicable)
