Job summary

OA Group is seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead planning, delivery and continuous improvement of the professional training function for skincare tech and clinics. You will ensure high standards of technical and practical training, oversee the training calendar, and develop training materials.

• Proven experience managing professional training, education or technical instruction (Essential).
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising trainers or educators (Essential).
• Strong background in beauty therapy, aesthetics, skincare, medical aesthetics or related field (Essential).
• Practical, hands-on training and competency assessment experience (Essential).
• Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills (Essential).
• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities (Essential).
• Experience developing training materials, lesson plans and assessments (Essential).
• Confident working with customers, senior management and internal teams (Essential).
• Willingness to travel occasionally (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Lead the professional training strategy, calendar, course planning and delegate experience.
• Manage and develop the training team, ensuring consistent standards, coaching and performance.
• Oversee system, advanced, refresher and specialist training programmes.
• Deliver practical and theoretical training with effective assessment and certification.
• Develop and maintain training materials, assessments and digital learning resources.
• Ensure training content aligns with approved protocols, product claims, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain training records and oversee certification, audits and equipment.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to support customer onboarding and advanced training.
• Build relationships with customers and therapists to improve the training experience.
• Coordinate with Quality, Regulatory, NPD, Technical Support, Marketing and Operations teams.
• Lead testing of new products and treatment technologies ahead of launch.
• Support development, testing and validation of new treatment protocols.

OA are recruiting for a Training Manager to join our client s growing team.

Our client is a leading provider of professional skincare technology, treatment systems and skincare products to salons, spas and aesthetic clinics.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Training Manager to lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of the professional training function. You will ensure customers and therapists receive consistently high standards of technical and practical training, overseeing the training calendar, course delivery and development of training materials.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership and organisational skills with credible experience in beauty therapy, aesthetics, skincare, professional education or a related technical environment.

Location: Elstree, Borehamwood
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm. Office based.
Salary: £50,000-£55,000

Training Manager Key Responsibilities

• Lead the professional training strategy, calendar, course planning and delegate experience.
• Manage and develop the training team, ensuring consistent standards, coaching and performance.
• Oversee system, advanced, refresher and specialist training programmes.
• Deliver and support practical and theoretical training, ensuring effective assessment and certification.
• Develop and maintain training materials, assessments and digital learning resources.
• Ensure training content aligns with approved protocols, product claims, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records and oversee certification, compliance, audits and training equipment.
• Work with Sales and Customer Success to support customer onboarding, development and advanced training.
• Build strong relationships with customers and therapists, using feedback to improve the training experience.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, NPD, Technical Support, Marketing and Operations teams.
• Lead practical testing of new products, devices and treatment technologies ahead of launch.
• Support the development, testing and validation of new treatment protocols and treatment sequences.
• Identify training, safety, usability and competency risks and recommend improvements.
• Research new technologies and market trends to support product and treatment development.

Training Manager Skills & Experience

• Proven experience managing professional training, education or technical instruction (Essential).
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising trainers or educators (Essential).
• Strong background in beauty therapy, aesthetics, skincare, medical aesthetics or a related field (Essential).
• Practical, hands-on training and competency assessment experience (Essential).
• Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills (Essential).
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities (Essential).
• Experience developing training materials, lesson plans and assessments (Essential).
• Confident working with customers, senior management and internal teams (Essential).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM or learning systems (Essential).
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexibly when required (Essential).
• Experience training users on professional aesthetic, skincare or beauty devices (Desirable).
• Knowledge of aesthetic technologies such as LED, microcurrent, ultrasound or RF (Desirable).
• Relevant beauty, aesthetics, skincare, teaching or assessing qualification (Desirable).
• Experience within a regulated, medical device or quality-managed environment (Desirable).
• Experience creating digital training content or supporting advanced treatment programmes (Desirable).
• Confident, credible and approachable with an engaging teaching style.
• Organised, commercially aware and committed to quality and continuous improvement
• Customer-focused, resilient and comfortable addressing poor practice constructively.
• Collaborative and confident building strong relationships across teams.
