Job summary

Capita, based in Fareham with activity at HMS Collingwood, is seeking a Training Delivery Instructor for WE Sensors and CIS Maintenance. This full-time role (37.5 hours) requires eligibility for UK SC security clearance and offers a challenging path to develop Royal Navy Sensor and CIS equipment maintenance training.

You will deliver practical training to Royal Navy students, drive improvements using data, and ensure effective learning journeys while meeting KPIs and collaborating with delivery

Qualifications

• Experience of working on/maintaining modern Royal Navy Sensor and CIS Equipment.
• Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent or willingness to enroll onto internal training.
• Experience in military Sensor systems or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training in maintenance of Royal Navy Sensor and CIS Equipment.
• Use performance data to drive continuous improvement across RN WE training.
• Identify and share best practices to inform quality initiatives across training establishments.
• Implement consistent systems to harmonise training delivery across RN locations.
• Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met while supporting personalised learning journeys.

Job description

Help get better trained warfighters to the front line, faster, by delivering motivating and relevant training to students in an agile Navy in WE Sensor and CIS Equipment Maintenance. The purpose of this role is to provide the delivery of Maintenance of Sensor and CIS Equipment and hardware, to Royal Navy students on their Phase 3 equipment training courses in the WE department. Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week

HMS Collingwood, Fareham

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering training in the maintenance of Royal Navy Sonar systems, in support of the Royal Navy Weapon Engineering (WE) Capability Training Unit.
• Use performance data and insights to drive continuous improvement across RN WE training, including internal and third-party evaluations.
• Identify and share best practices to inform quality and improvement initiatives across training establishments.
• Implement consistent systems and processes to harmonise training delivery across RN locations.
• Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met, while supporting personalised learning journeys and representing WE Training needs to delivery teams.

What we're looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Experience of working on/maintaining modern Royal Navy Sensor and CIS Equipment

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Experience of maintenance of Sonar systems
• Experience of maintenance of Communication Systems
• Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent (will be enrolled onto internal training course if not held).
• Military weapon engineering Sensor systems or equivalent experience.
• Experience in managing & maintaining RN WE Sensor and CIS Equipment.
• Experience in maintenance of RN WE Sensor and CIS Equipment.
