Job summary

Capita is recruiting a Training Delivery Instructor (Navy Communications) in Fareham. The role is full-time (37.5 hours a week) at HMS Collingwood, and you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

You will deliver Communications training to Royal Navy students on Phase 2 and Phase 3 Weapons Engineering courses, supporting learners across classrooms, simulations, and specialist environments while helping to raise training standards.

Qualifications

• Essential practical experience of Royal Navy or equivalent communications systems.
• Desirable previous experience in training, coaching, mentoring or instruction.
• A Level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to complete one; Capita will support you).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality Communications training across the Weapons Engineering Training Group.
• Support learners in classroom, simulated and synthetic training environments.
• Use performance insight and learner feedback to continuously improve training delivery.
• Work closely with Training Delivery and Learning & Development teams to support personalised learning.
• Maintain consistent quality and standards across all Communications training.
• Contribute to the introduction of new and modernised training as Selborne evolves.

What you’ll be doing
