Job summary

RTX is seeking a Training Analyst in Winnersh (Hybrid) to analyse training documentation and data from technical systems, delivering compliant training needs evaluations for military training solutions. Role reports to Senior Training Analyst and emphasizes DSAT analysis and design, with a focus on cost, time, and quality balance.

You will conduct needs analyses, interview SMEs, and help prepare DSAT outputs in line with JSP 822 Defence Guidance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training analysis through needs reviews, SME interviews and DSAT documentation.
  • Collaborate with team to analyse training requirements for military training sites and organisations.
  • Articulate training needs and propose balanced, cost-effective solutions.
  • Perform DSAT Element 1 (Analysis) and Design Stage 1 outputs per JSP 822 guidance.
  • Participate in workshops, review existing training docs, and write analytical reports.
  • Champion Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities

The Training Analyst role is responsible to the Senior Training Analyst, to analyse documentation and data from technical systems to deliver compliant training needs evaluations for the compilation of training solution(s) to meet the Authority’s training requirements.

Responsibilities
  • To conduct training analysis through the examination training need; reviews of previous training; interviews of SMEs to aid the production of DSAT Documentation for military training. Main duties will include:
  • Work as a member of a team responsible for the analysis of training requirements and production of DSAT Documentation for military training sites and organisations.
  • Analysing, capturing and articulating training needs arising from new or changing requirements.
    Inform on the optimum training solution(s) to meet the Authority’s training requirements, balancing time, cost and quality, and define the training solution at the appropriate level of detail to enable Training Design to commence.
  • Conduct DSAT Element 1 (Analysis) to produce and or update the required outputs as laid out in JSP 822 Defence Guidance for Training and Education.
  • Conduct DSAT Design Stage 1 to produce and or update the required outputs as laid out in JSP 822 Defence Guidance for Training and Education.
  • Requesting and reviewing existing training documentation as required.
  • Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data as required.
  • Participating in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis and writing reports on the findings of the analysis.
  • Be ‘Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement’.

  • Development and delivery environments and have contributed to the analysis of significant training courses – preferably within a Defence/DSAT environment.
