Job description

Training Administrator

Professional Membership Organisation
£30,750 per annum
Permanent, full-time – 35 hours per week
Hybrid working – minimum three days per month in the London office, plus occasional course and event attendance

Our client, a well-established professional membership organisation, is seeking a proactive and highly organised Training Administrator to join its friendly and busy Training team.

This is much more than a traditional administrative role. You will be at the heart of the training operation, supporting customers, coordinating courses and ensuring everything runs smoothly from initial booking through to course completion.

The organisation is particularly keen to find someone who is curious about technology and enjoys identifying smarter ways of working. If you like improving processes and exploring how CRM systems, digital tools, automation and AI can make administration more efficient, you will have plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas and make a genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a first point of contact for delegates, clients and trainers, providing a helpful and professional service
  • Manage training enquiries, bookings, transfers, cancellations and refunds
  • Coordinate online and face-to-face training courses
  • Maintain accurate delegate and course information across CRM and learning systems
  • Prepare joining instructions, course materials, registers and certificates
  • Liaise with trainers, venues, suppliers and internal colleagues
  • Provide on-the-day support for selected face-to-face courses and events
  • Assist with reporting, customer feedback and digital content
  • Help test new systems, platforms and digital tools
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administration and improve the customer experience
Candidate Requirements
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities
  • A friendly, confident and professional communication style, both in writing and over the telephone
  • A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365, CRM databases and other digital platforms
  • An interest in technology, AI and automation and how these can improve everyday processes
  • A proactive and inquisitive approach, with a willingness to ask questions and suggest improvements
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve problems effectively
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning and getting involved

Experience within training administration, learning and development, events, bookings or customer service would be particularly useful. Previous experience with a training provider would be advantageous but is not essential.

Knowledge of CRM databases, Learning Management Systems, Excel, online booking platforms, Microsoft Teams or Zoom would also be beneficial.

Benefits
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • 35-hour working week
  • Group Personal Pension Plan
  • Private healthcare
  • Life assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Travel expenses for staff onsite days
  • Access to professional courses and qualifications
  • Annual leave increasing with length of service

The organisation operates a hybrid working model. You will work remotely for much of the time but must be able to travel into London for a minimum of three office days per month, alongside occasional training courses, events and additional team days. The role will therefore suit someone based in London or within a reasonable commuting distance.

If you are customer-focused, brilliantly organised, comfortable with technology and always looking for a better way of doing things, this could be an excellent next step.

Membership Bespoke positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates, regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
