Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Training Administrator within the Health & Safety team to support the delivery and coordination of all company training across the business, ensuring records are accurate and compliant. You will work with depot managers, employees, and external providers to schedule sessions and maintain a skilled, safe workforce.

In this role you will update the SHE training system, issue certificates, prepare costings, raise purchase orders, and respond promptly to inquiries,

Department:

Health & Safety works closely with operational teams across the UK, provides expert guidance, assurance, governance, and support to ensure all activities are carried out safely, legally, and in line with industry best practice.

The team is responsible for embedding a positive safety culture throughout the business, where safety is everyone's responsibility and employees are empowered to challenge unsafe practices, stop work where necessary, and continuously improve the way work is carried out.

Purpose of the role:

The Training Administrator provides essential administrative support to the HSEQ and Training team, ensuring employee training records are accurately maintained, training courses are coordinated efficiently, and compliance requirements are met. The role works closely with depot managers, employees, and training providers to support the delivery of training across the business and maintain a skilled, compliant workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Updating the SHE training system including scanning and uploading training certificates
  • Assist with booking internal training courses requested by depots
  • Issuing certifications and training confirmations to the relevant Depot Managers
  • Liaising with Depot Managers via telephone and email
  • Liaise with training providers when necessary
  • Provide statistics and information on a regular basis on current and forthcoming issues relating to training
  • Providing accurate costs for all training courses booked, including raising purchase orders and ensuring all invoices are sent to the relevant department.
  • Treat internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times, ensuring clear lines of communication.
  • General administration to support HSEQ team, such as stationary, raising orders
  • Respond to all calls, emails and messages in a timely manner
  • You will need good communication skills and a good telephone manner for this role. Previous experience in Training is not essential as full department training will be given.
