Matchtech Group is seeking a People Management Trainer to strengthen management capability across its multi-site UK operations within the construction sector. This permanent HR role will equip managers with the skills and confidence to manage performance, conduct employee relations processes and support their teams effectively within a construction environment.

Competenze

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification.
• Management, coaching or learning and development qualification.
• Significant experience in a senior HR operational role.
• Strong knowledge of people management, employee relations and UK employment law.
• Experience operating in a multi-site, construction or operational environment.
• Confident communication and influencing skills with the ability to challenge appropriately.
• Strong coaching, facilitation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Practical understanding of performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Our client, a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure specialist, is seeking a People Management Trainer to strengthen management capability across its multi-site operations. This permanent HR role will equip managers with the skills and confidence to manage performance, conduct employee relations processes and support their teams effectively within a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a structured people management training framework aligned with organisational values, policies and operational requirements
• Identify capability gaps among line managers and deliver targeted development solutions
• Design and deliver practical, scenario-based training covering underperformance, improvement plans and absence management
• Provide training on employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary procedures and grievances, with a focus on fairness and legal compliance
• Coach supervisors, site managers and other leaders on difficult conversations, constructive feedback and conflict management
• Embed consistent management behaviours, competencies and standards across the organisation
• Build strong working relationships with managers and provide visible HR support across multiple sites
• Act as a trusted operational adviser, balancing business requirements with people risk and employment law considerations
• Travel across regional sites and work away from home when required to deliver training and support managers
