Job summary

Samworth Brothers in Worksop is looking for a proactive Training Coordinator to lead inductions for new starters, deliver Health and Safety and Food Safety training, and ensure core skills are assessed and signed off. You will collaborate with Managers and Team Leaders to maintain high standards.

This role supports a culture where safety and quality matter, helps develop CCP programmes, and progresses people through the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering Health & Safety and Food Safety training to new starters.
  • Ability to assess core skills and sign off competencies.
  • Strong communication with Managers, Team Leaders and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Company inductions to new starters, including Health and Safety and Food Safety.
  • Ensure core skills are trained in a timely manner to new starters and assessed at appropriate intervals and communicate with Managers.
  • Develop and promote an excellent Health & Safety and Food Safety culture.
  • Develop and promote an excellent Food Safety culture.
  • Ensure procedures are understood and signed off to ensure compliance with H&S, Food Safety and operational ways of working and update CCP matrices.
  • Liaise with Training Manager on timing and delivery of programmes over and above bakery compliance.
  • Where appropriate train and assess competency on equipment within the bakery.

So what’s the job all about?
  • Conduct Company inductions to new starters, including Health and Safety and Food Safety.
  • Ensure core skills are trained in a timely manner to new starters and assessed at appropriate intervals, including Manual Handling, relevant SOP’s, etc and maintain high standards of communication with Managers, Team Leaders and colleagues, supporting the gap analysis.
  • Develop and promote an excellent Health & Safety and Food Safety culture.
  • Develop and promote an excellent Food Safety culture.
  • Ensure all colleagues understand and are signed off on all procedures to ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and operational ways of working and provide training and sign off support for all CCP operatives and update CCP matrices.
  • Liaise with the Training Manager on the timing and delivery of programmes over and above bakery compliance.
  • Where appropriate train and assess competency on equipment within the bakery.
