An established industry player is looking for Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join their team in Manchester. We are recruiting Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our team in children’s residential care homes and Independent Living settings in Manchester and surrounding areas.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 16 who are in the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. We seek individuals with confidence, patience, and the skills to work effectively with these children and make a positive impact on their lives.
The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support within residential or independent living settings, aiming to create an environment that meets the young person's intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
As part of a team, you will support children throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, education, and shopping.
We are looking for flexible, reliable, and engaging individuals interested in working in a specialist environment. Full training and qualifications will be provided to suitable candidates.
A driving license is advantageous, as you may be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations such as family contacts, school, and social activities.
We welcome individuals seeking full-time or part-time hours under a zero-hour contract, with opportunities to progress to full-time employment.
Please note that you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programs before placements are offered, unless you are on the new national DBS database.
