We are recruiting Trainee Youth Workers to join our team to work in residential settings. Please note we are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals.

Position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to service users with complex needs within a residential setting. The goal is to create an environment that caters to a person’s intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will be working with individuals who have been placed into the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we require individuals who have the confidence, patience, and skill set to work successfully with these individuals and positively impact their lives.

In this role, you will support young people throughout the day with basic tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping.

Please note that you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before any placements are offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and other staff members.
2. Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users and staff.
3. Keep up to date with all communication and information systems.
4. Attend and actively participate in meetings as appropriate.
5. Support service users in managing their behavior using approved skills.
6. Promote equality, acknowledging individual differences.
7. Protect service users from abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users.
8. Write accurate reports for reviews and maintain written records for monitoring purposes.
9. Attend all required training and be prepared to achieve relevant qualifications.
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern.
11. Stay updated with all procedures and policy changes.
12. Take responsible care for health and safety of yourself and others.
13. Undertake any other relevant duties as required.
