Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting experienced and trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team in our clients' children’s residential homes and independent living settings. We are seeking flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.

The role involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs within residential or independent living settings. The goal is to create an environment that caters to the young person's intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Candidates should possess confidence, patience, and the skill set to work effectively with these young people and positively impact their lives.

As part of your duties, you will support young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. Interaction with professionals like social workers, probation officers, and police officers is also required, supporting young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.

A valid driving license is essential, as you will need to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Please note that you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before any placements are offered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  5. Support young people in managing their behavior using approved skills

  7. Protect service users from abuse by staff, visitors, or other service users
  8. Write accurate reports and keep records for monitoring purposes
  9. Attend training and achieve qualifications relevant to the role
  10. Arrive punctually and follow a set shift pattern
  11. Stay updated with procedures and policy changes
  12. Ensure health and safety of yourself and others
  13. Perform any additional relevant duties as required
