Job description

Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting Experienced and Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team in our clients' children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We are seeking flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.

The role involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs within residential or independent living settings. The goal is to create an environment that caters to the young person’s intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Candidates should have the confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these young people and make a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, supporting young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.

A valid driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programs before placements are offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Attend all required training and achieve relevant qualifications
  • Attend work reliably and punctually, following set shift patterns
  • Stay updated with procedures and policy changes
  • Ensure health and safety of yourself and others
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required
