Job summary

Pacifica is recruiting a Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer (White Goods Engineer) to join as a self-employed field-based technician serving Ipswich and surrounding areas. You will receive full training and build your own self-employed business while repairing domestic appliances.

No previous white goods experience is required; mechanically or electrically minded individuals will learn on the job, with ongoing support, mentoring, and a clear onboarding programme.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Own car or van capable of carrying tools and parts.
• Mechanically or electrically minded.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Public liability insurance.
• Right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer homes to diagnose and repair domestic appliances.
• Repair appliances including washing machines, dishwashers, tumble dryers, ovens, fridge freezers and microwaves.
• Deliver high levels of customer service at all times.
• Manage your own workload and daily schedule.
• Work independently in a field-based role.
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently.
