Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates Limited is recruiting Trainee Field Technicians to cover the local Portsmouth area. You will be trained to locate water leaks on underground networks and work nights, 40 hours per week (Mon–Thu).

A full clean driving licence is required to drive to sites. The role offers on‑the‑job training (6–12 months), a company van with fuel card, and a clear path for progression within the water industry.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full and valid driving licence.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and uploading information.
• Willingness to work night shifts and follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate water leaks on underground networks during surveys.
• Assist repair crews by providing leak detection services.
• Assist in survey or project work beyond day-to-day leak detection tasks.
• Complete paperwork accurately (time sheets, survey forms, leak details, etc.).
• Drive to sites as required for the role.
