Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates Limited is recruiting for Trainee Field Technicians to cover local areas and learn to locate leaks on underground water networks. The role includes night shifts, a 40-hour week (Mon-Thu), and is temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

You’ll receive full training (6–12 months) and will work with a company van and fuel card. Training on EUSR Water Hygiene will be provided and there are clear career progression paths within the company.

Qualifications

• Full and valid driving licence required.
• Candidates with manual/outdoor backgrounds welcome.
• Willingness to learn and train for water leakage surveys.

Responsibilities

• Assist in detailed surveys to identify water leakage types and locations.
• Support repair teams by providing leak detection services.
• Contribute to survey and project work beyond day-to-day leak detection.
• Complete paperwork accurately (timesheets, survey forms, leak details).
• Upload data using a laptop and maintain basic computer skills.
