Job summary

Halfords Commercial Fleet Services (HCFS) invites applications for a Trainee Commercial Tyre Technician. The role combines Academy-based learning with hands-on experience to develop skills for nationwide commercial vehicle tyre service provision.

You will train at our dedicated academy and receive mentorship while learning tyre fitting and repair across commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles. Travel during training, with overnight stays, is expected.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to learn and develop through a paid training programme.
• Flexibility to work overtime and join an on-call rota.
• Practical, hands-on approach with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Commercial Tyre Technician training programme.
• Learn specialist tyre fitting and repair for commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles.
• Work with a mentor and complete on‑the‑job training at Halfords HCFS facilities.
• Travel with likely overnight stays during the initial training period.

• Spend at least 2 weeks at our dedicated Training Academy inMaidstone, with our expert Training Team.
• Gain hands‑on experience and support from a dedicated mentor throughout your development.
• Learn specialist tyre fitting and repair across a range of commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles.
• Once qualified, enjoy an uncapped bonus scheme plus overtime and call‑out opportunities.

Please note that travel with likely overnight stays will be required during your initial training period.
