Job summary

Halfords Commercial Fleet Services (HCFS) is recruiting for a Trainee Commercial Tyre Technician in the UK. You will train through a blend of academy learning and hands-on experience, working Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00 with Saturday shifts, earning a salary between £24,825 and £29,500 per year.

During development you’ll attend a two-week Training Academy in Peterborough, supported by a mentor, and learn tyre fitting for commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence.
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work overtime and join an on-call rota.
• A practical approach and the determination to succeed in a hands‑on role.

Responsibilities

• Learn specialist tyre fitting and repair across commercial, agricultural and industrial vehicles.
• Gain hands-on experience and support from a dedicated mentor during your development.
• Spend at least 2 weeks at the dedicated Training Academy in Peterborough.
• Travel with likely overnight stays during the initial training period.
• After qualification, benefit from an uncapped bonus, overtime and call-out opportunities.
