Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking a Trainee Toolsetter in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. This permanent role offers on-the-job training and mentoring to help you build practical skills in tooling for CNC milling machines. You’ll join a hands-on workshop environment with clear development opportunities and support from experienced teammates.

The starting salary is dependent on experience, with progression as you learn. A UK right to work is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in engineering, machining, or hands-on workshop work.
• Willingness to learn and follow processes.
• Good attention to detail and reliable timekeeping.
• Excellent team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to work from tooling setting sheets and job instructions.
• Assist with setting milling cutters, drills and other tooling into holders (training provided).
• Deliver and collect tools to/from machines and support tool breakdown on job completion.
• Keep the tool-setting area clean, organised and safe.
• Help maintain tool holders, vices and other workshop equipment.
• Support tooling stock control and help order consumables as required.
• Develop the ability to prioritise tasks and meet production deadlines.

Starting your career in engineering? We're looking for a motivated hands on worker to learn tool-setting for CNC milling machines. This is a hands-on role with on-the-job training and support from experienced team members to help you build practical skills and progress within the workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Learn to work from tooling setting sheets and job instructions
• Assist with setting milling cutters, drills and other tooling into holders (training provided)
