Job summary

The Trainee Engineer role at Howmet Aerospace Inc. offers a path to an Engineering Degree on a part-time basis while you join the Engineering team.

You will develop skills to support manufacturing processes from raw material to end product, including Application Engineering and Systems Engineering. You will gain hands-on experience with CAD design, process improvement and cross-functional projects within a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• A levels or equivalent in Science/Mathematics or Engineering is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and numerical literacy are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are valued for cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on approach to solving engineering issues daily.
• Develop designs and CAD drafting abilities.
• Support initiatives to increase reliability of products, tooling, processes, and installation tooling.
• Assist projects reviewing efficiency and reliability of manufacturing processes (tooling, heat treatment, coating, plating, lubricants).
• Maintain up-to-date technical standards and drawing databases.
