Job Role and Application

Vision for Education works with thousands of primary, secondary, and SEND schools across England. We are passionate about making a positive impact in education.

Following a successful interview for the National Teaching Assistant Programme and pending suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills. You will be supported in deciding whether you prefer to work in primary, secondary, or SEND provisions and will receive ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

Upon completing the National Teaching Assistant Programme, this role involves being placed within a SEND setting. These settings can involve working with individuals with ADHD, ASC, MLD, SLD, PMLD, or SEMH, depending on your skills, personality, and preferences. The settings in Newcastle upon Tyne require individuals who are passionate about caring, understanding, and motivating SEN pupils to succeed.

Requirements
  • Be compassionate, understanding, and caring.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Flexible, proactive, and a team player.
  • Understand the importance of child safety.
  • Be able to articulate your motivation for a career in education and your understanding of a Teaching Assistant's role.
  • Committed to training and ongoing CPD.
  • Willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
