Vision for Education is recruiting Trainee Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming Primary Schools across Cirencester (GL7). This is an excellent entry point for graduates, career changers or anyone with experience working with children who wants to build a career in education.

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting pupils in the classroom and helping create a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

  • Patience, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness to train through our National Teaching Assistant Programme.
  • Ability to provide suitable references.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom organisation.
  • Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Encourage engagement and positive behaviour throughout the day.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs within an inclusive classroom.
  • Gain experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

About the Trainee Teaching Assistant Role

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you may:

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom organisation
  • Help children develop their confidence, independence and social skills
  • Encourage engagement and positive behaviour throughout the school day
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs within an inclusive classroom
  • Gain valuable experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this Trainee Teaching Assistant role, you should:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children
  • Be patient, enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Be confident working as part of a team
  • Have experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
  • Be willing to complete training through our National Teaching Assistant Programme
  • Be able to provide suitable references
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
