Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic graduates, industry professionals, career changers, tutors, and aspiring teachers to work as Unqualified STEM Teachers in Northampton secondary schools. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across Mathematics, Science, Computing, Engineering and Technology, inspiring students and helping them progression into education or STEM careers.

There is flexibility for Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities, with ongoing support from a dedicated education

Qualifications

  • Strong interest or background in STEM subjects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in leading and engaging groups of young people.
  • Experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned STEM lessons to secondary students.
  • Cover classes in Mathematics, Science, Computing, Engineering and Technology.
  • Encourage student participation and achievement.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing confidence within STEM subjects.
