A leading community health organization seeks a Band 6 Trainee Specialist End of Life Community Nurse. The role involves managing complex patients and providing leadership within the nursing team, while pursuing essential qualifications under supervision. This position requires a commitment to high-quality care and the ability to work flexibly in response to patient needs.
We are seeking a Band 6 Trainee Specialist End of Life Community Nurse to join our Community Nursing teams within the Marsh and Rural Primary Care Network (PCN). This PCN covers the New Romney and Tenterden areas.
The Trainee Specialist End of Life Community Nurse (Band 6) will undergo a 12-month development plan, which must be completed to qualify for the Specialist End of Life Community Nurse Band 7 position. The plan includes achieving a Non-Medical Prescribing qualification focused on end of life care, which must be obtained within this period if not already held.

As a Trainee, you will be responsible for supervision, teaching, and leadership of clinical staff, ensuring high-quality care. You will holistically manage complex end of life patients under supervision during the initial 12 months, progressing to full responsibilities upon successful completion. You should demonstrate sound clinical judgment, decision-making, and serve as a role model.
You will manage a caseload within a dedicated team caring for patients in a specific geographical area, working alongside Band 6 colleagues, and providing clinical leadership across other teams within the Primary Care Networks.
Car owner/driver is essential, subject to the provisions of the Equality Act (2010).
Additional Working Pattern: Monday to Friday.
