Perrys Motor Sales Ltd in Barnsley is recruiting a Trainee SMART Repair Technician. You will work under direct supervision to carry out paintwork SMART repairs on internal and retail vehicles, and support alloy wheel refurbishment and bumper repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist SMART Repair Technicians with paintwork SMART repairs on internal and retail vehicles.
• Prepare and paint vehicles to a high standard with direct supervision, including alloy wheel refurbishment and bumper repairs.
• Learn to use products efficiently to minimise waste and costs while meeting deadlines.
• Explain work and charges clearly to customers.

Hours of work:

We can be flexible with the hours offered. The role offered will be a one-week pattern, working Monday – Fridays which will give you quality time to spend with your family and friends.

About the role:

Reporting into the Bodyshop Manager, the successful Trainee SMART Repair Technician will work with and assist the SMART Repair Technicians incarrying out paintwork SMART repairs on internal and retail vehicles in line with deadlines and targets.

As a Perrys Trainee SMART Repair Technician, you will help prepare and paint vehicles to a high standard withdirect supervision, to include alloy wheel refurbishment, paintwork and bumper repairs, scratch and scuff removal and minor cosmetic repairs.

Learning how to use all products economically to minimise waste and costs, completing all work within agreed time scales and explaining work and charges.

You will be well-organised and self-motivated and able to manage the workload given.

Demonstrate capability and confidence in working with equipment and systems within the dealership.

Care passionately and commit to doing the right thing for our customers, treating them fairly.
