Job summary

Perrys Motor Sales Ltd is recruiting a Trainee SMART Repair Technician to support the Bodyshop team with paintwork SMART repairs on internal and retail vehicles, under direct supervision.

You will learn alloy wheel refurbishment, paintwork and bumper repairs, and minor cosmetic repairs while adhering to Perrys People First values. The role offers a one-week pattern, Monday–Friday, with flexible hours to suit family commitments.

Qualifications

• You will be well-organised and self-motivated.
• Demonstrate capability and confidence in working with equipment and systems within the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Assistance to SMART Repair Technicians performing paintwork SMART repairs on internal and retail vehicles.
• Prepare and paint vehicles to a high standard under direct supervision, including alloy wheel refurbishment and bumper repairs.
• Learn to use all products economically to minimise waste and costs and complete work within agreed time scales.

About the role:

Reporting into the Bodyshop Manager, the successful Trainee SMART Repair Technician will work with and assist the SMART Repair Technicians incarrying out paintwork SMART repairs on internal and retail vehicles in line with deadlines and targets.

As a Perrys Trainee SMART Repair Technician, you will help prepare and paint vehicles to a high standard withdirect supervision, to include alloy wheel refurbishment, paintwork and bumper repairs, scratch and scuff removal and minor cosmetic repairs.

Learning how to use all products economically to minimise waste and costs, completing all work within agreed time scales and explaining work and charges.

You will be well-organised and self-motivated and able to manage the workload given.

Demonstrate capability and confidence in working with equipment and systems within the dealership.
