What you will do

FM:Systems is seeking a Trainee Field Service Technician to deploy sensor technology across the UK and beyond. The role involves working mainly at customer sites during the week, with varied hours including weekends and out-of-hours shifts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and be a vital team member.

How you will do it
  • Assist with sensor installations and system testing in client buildings across the country
  • Create detailed Excel reports with sensor information
  • Assess floor plans to determine sensor and host requirements
  • Learn to prepare hardware and equipment for installations
  • Install sensors and hosts under supervision
  • Fully test systems before leaving customer sites
  • Document all installations and maintenance activities for future reference
  • Focus on expanding knowledge and skills for career progression to Field Service Technician and beyond
What we look for

Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Passion for technology
  • Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems, and hardware
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to install sensors and hardware, including bending and crawling under desks
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer sites
