Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a family-run business in Royston recruit a Trainee Service Engineer (Gates/Barriers). The role focuses on service, maintenance, repair and installation of automated gates and entry systems across local sites, with a 40-hour week and no weekend work.

The successful candidate will have background in gates or barriers, a desire for a local patch around Essex/Hertfordshire, and be willing to travel locally; a company van is provided, and overtime is optional.

Qualifications

• Background in Gates or Barriers
• Experience as Service Engineer or similar
• Based near Royston with ability to travel locally around Essex/Hertfordshire

Responsibilities

• Repair faults, breakdowns, upgrades and replacement automated gates and entry systems.
• A small local role patch of Hertfordshire and Essex.
• 40 hours a week, Mon-Fri (7:30AM-4:30PM).
• Optional overtime.
• Company van, fuel card and pension.
