Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer (Automated Gates) based in Royston. The role focuses on service, maintenance, repair and installation of automated gates, barriers and entry systems across a local Hertfordshire/Essex patch.

You’ll enjoy a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri, 7:30–16:30), no weekend work, no on-call rota, and optional overtime. A company van and pension are provided, with a focus on work-life balance within a family-run business.

Service Engineer (Automated Gates)

Are you a Service Engineer with a background in Automated Gates, Barriers, Doors or similar, looking to join a stable role with a family-run company, who pride themselves on offering great work-life balance with no weekend or on-call requirements, optional overtime if desired and a local work patch?

On offer is an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer to join a well ran family-run business, who have been operating for nearly 20 years. They design, manufacture and install a range of bespoke security and access products including gates and barriers for both commercial and domestic customers.

In this local role, you will be responsible for service, maintenance, repair and installation on a range of sites around Essex and Hertfordshire. You will travel to customers locally in both commercial premises and domestic housing. You will be given a company van and only required to work 40 hours per week.

This role would suit a Service Engineer with a background in Automated Gates, Doors or similar, looking for a local role, with limited travel, no weekends, call out rota and only optional overtime.

The Role:
