Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Trainee Service Engineer (Engineering Apprentice Background) in the Oxford area. You will join a market leading OEM, receive specialist training, and work on CNC tooling machinery across a regional patch.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a £35,000–£40,000 salary, plus Bonus and other benefits to support your training and career development in a well-established manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level service engineer role requiring an engineering apprenticeship or similar.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Willing to undertake training on servicing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance on CNC or tooling machinery.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and breakdown repair.
• Regional patch coverage, Monday to Friday.

Have you completed any form of Engineering Apprenticeship? Are you looking for a Service Engineer role where you will become a go-to expert for a well-established machine tool company who will invest in your training and development as well as offering great benefits enabling you to significantly boost your earnings?

In this varied role, you will operate across a regional patch performing both planned and reactive maintenance on specialist tooling machinery, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical fault finding, diagnosis and breakdowns with training. This position offers the option to increase your wages through optional overtime. You will be home based working Monday to Friday with no compulsory weekend work.

This opportunity would suit an Engineering Apprentice or similar looking for a Service Engineer role with a leading manufacturer in Machine Tools and CNC Machinery who is looking for a company who invest in training and offer clear routes to progress your career.
