Job summary

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well‑established CNC machinery specialist in Southampton to hire a Field Service Engineer. You will install, service and repair CNC machines on customer sites, ensuring high uptime and quality service.

This role covers a regional patch across the South of England with some UK travel, backed by industry‑leading training, clear career progression and generous overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on CNC machine tools or industrial machinery advantageous.
• Good customer-facing and communication skills; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing and repairing CNC machine tools at customer sites.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Commissioning new and used CNC machinery.
• Completing service reports and technical documentation.
• Building strong customer relationships and delivering excellent service.
• Attending manufacturer product training and technical meetings.
• Covering a regional patch across the South of England with occasional UK travel.
