Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust offers a 24-month training post combining supervised clinical training with an accredited PgDip in Medical Ultrasound at the department's chosen HEI. The programme covers General, Obstetric, Gynaecological, Testes/Scrotal ultrasound and Ultrasound Physics, with protected study time when service allows.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Medical Ultrasound as part of a 24‑month training post.
• Experience and understanding of ultrasound practice and professional behaviours Expected during the programme.

Responsabilidades

• Work under supervision of qualified sonographers to develop clinical knowledge and technical skills for ultrasound examinations and reporting.
• Coordinate daily operational workload such as referral vetting and patient prioritisation with a patient-centred approach.
• Collaborate with Radiology and Maternity Services teams to maintain high quality seven-day ultrasound service and escalate training concerns appropriately.
• After PgDip, work autonomously as a Reporting Sonographer within approved modules and contribute to audit, service development and teaching.
