Job summary

NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group is seeking an enthusiastic trainee sonographer to join its Ultrasound Departments across Royal Liverpool, Broadgreen, Aintree, Liverpool Women's and community sites. The PgD Medical Imaging (Ultrasound) qualification will be undertaken at a university site in partnership with the North West Imaging Academy.

Qualifications

• Statement of interest must be supplied with the application.
• Shortlisting will lead to a practical scanning session.
• Final candidates will have a formal interview with a presentation.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused ultrasound services.
• Undertake ultrasound examinations under supervision according to departmental protocols.
• Effectively communicate with patients, obtain focused history, and explain the test purpose, risks and conclusions.
• Complete and pass the PgD Medical Imaging (Ultrasound) academic and clinical assessments.
