Gap Technical Ltd in Huntingdon is seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join the engineering recruitment team on a hybrid basis. Salary is 28,000–35,000 GBP per year plus an excellent commission scheme. You will receive full training and support to build a successful recruitment career.

Responsibilities include building candidate relationships, sourcing, interviewing, managing the process end-to-end, and negotiating salaries. Fresh graduates are welcome; strong communication is valued.

Are you ambitious, driven and looking to build a successful career in recruitment? We're looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing engineering recruitment business. Whether you have previous recruitment experience or are looking to take your first step into the industry, we're more interested in your attitude, ambition and willingness to learn. You'll be working within the engineering recruitment sector, helping businesses find highly skilled engineering professionals while developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll receive full training and support while developing the skills needed to become a successful recruitment consultant.

• Building strong relationships with candidates
• Sourcing and engaging with candidates through various channels
• Conducting candidate interviews and understanding their career goals
• Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement
• Advertising vacancies and proactively searching for suitable candidates
• Negotiating salaries, fees and offers
• Maintaining accurate candidate and client records
• Developing your knowledge of different recruitment market
• Working towards individual and team sales targets

You’ll ideally have:

• A strong work ethic and desire to build a career
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence speaking to people on the phone and face-to-face
