Job description

Position: Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Type: Permanent
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum + uncapped commission

Pure Staff provides full UK coverage from our central offices in Birmingham and Worcester. The successful candidate will join our Birmingham Industrial team, servicing various companies across the Midlands and The North.

Key Duties:
  1. Build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with urgency and care.
  2. Source top-tier candidates through various channels, including our personalised Pure Staff app and well-known branded job boards.
  3. Place qualified, informed, and capable workers into suitable vacancies with our clients.
  4. Participate in rotational on-call duties to address out-of-hours requirements. On call is shared evenly and fairly. As the team grows, these duties will become less frequent. Pure Staff supplies key sectors that operate 24/7, so availability when needed is essential.
Person Specification:
  1. Ambitious and eager to start a new career path, ready to embrace the challenges of the role.
  2. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor towards clients and candidates.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Collaborative team player who can also work autonomously.

This role requires teamwork and independent working abilities. Rotational on-call duties include 1 in 5 weekends and weekday shifts.

Enjoy a 9-day fortnight rota, with every other Friday off. We have trialed this schedule for over a year and plan to make it permanent.

Full training and clear progression targets will be provided.

Starting salary: £30,000 with realistic potential commission of £2,000-£3,000 in the first year.

Standard Working Hours:

Week 1 & Week 2 rotation (average 38.25 hours/week):

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30 (5 days)
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 17:30 (4 days)
