Job summary

Bell Building Projects in London is seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. This full-time, permanent role supports budgets, interim valuations, cost forecasts, and final accounts, with regular site visits and office work.

We value early experience in QS, a degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, strong numeracy, and proficiency with MS Excel. You will learn under senior staff and pursue professional qualifications (RICS).

Qualifications

• Some previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Good understanding of construction processes and common contract forms (JCT/NEC preferred).
• Degree or working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, management, and monitoring of project budgets and cost plans.
• Support interim valuations and applications for payment.
• Help assess variations and assist with change orders.
• Contribute to final accounts under supervision of QS or Commercial Manager.
• Assist in procurement and contract administration of subcontractors.
