Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor / Assistant QS to support the commercial management of construction projects. This entry‑level role offers training and practical exposure for recent graduates or students with an interest in quantity surveying.

You will work with the Project Manager and delivery team to manage estimates, supplier pricing, budgets, variations, and cost tracking on live projects, with development toward senior QS roles.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail required or preferred.
• Good Excel skills or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost estimates, budgets and cost plans.
• Analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support client quotations, scopes of work, tender documents, and procurement packages.
• Measure works from drawings and project documentation.
• Track spending against budgets and report cost movements.
• Identify variations and potential cost risks.
• Maintain records of quotes, invoices and purchase orders.
• Assist with payment applications and final accounts.
